PCIERD raised to Outstanding Accounting Office Hall of Fame

THE ACCOUNTING OFFICE of the Philippine Council for Industry and Energy Research and Development was elevated to the Hall of Fame category of Outstanding Accounting Offices as it won the 2007 Outstanding Accounting Office Award (National Government Category – Small Agency) for three consecutive years or in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

The distinction also earns for PCIERD a singular record for such award among the attached agencies of the Department of Science and Technology.

Accountants of the Philippines (AGAP), Inc. noted that PCIERD has consistently developed and submitted its FY 2007 financial reports with quality, timeliness, and accuracy among all government agencies nationwide.

PCIERD received two plaques this year for Outstanding Accounting Office 2007, and Hall of Fame Award as it complied with accounting rules and regulations set by AGAP Committee on Awards.

The awards were handed out during the annual AGAP convention-seminar held at the Grand Men Seng Hotel, Davao City last October 15.
